Puss In Boots Movie Storybook App Reviews

The app doesnt live up to the expectations youd have of a Dreamworks product and the world market leader in iPad childrens book-apps. The book itself is just a narrated slideshow with the occasional sound effect and strewn in "games" that hardly are worthy of their name. I could go on, nitpicking about tiny little details that are just oversight but which add up to a bad experience... The current version crashes on iOS 5 on the original iPad about halfway through as well, so I cant really say if the experience gets better in the second half of the book. The story is good though, so 2 stars for that.

I have never been able to get this app to run. It will always crash at page 9. Dont waste your money until theres a fix

Crashes a lot on page turns. Weak content with out much interaction compared to other similarly priced story books.

Downloaded today. Have most updated iOS for ipad2. Only get initial istorybooks white screen for sec or two then crashes. Turned off iPad completely and on. Didnt solve issue.

Currently on a iPad running 4.3.3 and the startup white screen launches and after 2 seconds the app closes. Reboot of device didnt help. Trying it on my iPhone 4s 5.0.1 shortly

My son loved this app when we first got it as we had seen the movie. However since the update, it no longer works. It opens with a white screen that has the developers name and then crashes. Too bad! Otherwise, when this works is a great app for children.

Start game and white screen appears for about 2 seconds then crashes. have reinstalled, restarted, and updated ipad. nothing works!!

I love Puss in Boots and this is a very well done book and my 5 year old is loving all of the activities and videos from the movie. Humpty dumpty sticker book was nice addition in update.

Super fun app! The character audio and beautiful graphics are awesome. So fun to hear the actors from the movie in this great kids app. My nephew loves it!

Ive not watched the movie and Im lost in its many plots and complicated characters. Sure, the movie images, video and audio impress but they are rather disjointed. Nevertheless, my young son enjoys the storybook app but hes actually not following the story. Well that is not the fault of this app but the movie itself. So, if you love the movie, you will like this movie tie-in.
